Berri Football Club

Young players can take part in local Australian rules football, with 2026 options including Auskick and under-9, under-11, under-13, under-14 girls, under-15 and under-18 teams. The club provides a linked registration pathway, and its grounds are on Fiedler Street in Berri.

🌟 Disability and carer support

MyTime Riverland

Parents and carers of children under 18 who need a higher level of care can join this facilitated peer-support group. It welcomes families experiencing disability, developmental delay, chronic medical conditions or other additional needs. Novita Berri

Children, teenagers and adults can access disability supports including occupational therapy, speech pathology, developmental education, social work, community programs and assistive technology. Support may be delivered at the Berri hub at 5 Gilbert Street or at home, school, work and other community settings across the Riverland. Phone 1300 668 482.

💡 Youth and family wellbeing

headspace Berri

Young people aged 12–25 and their families can access free or low-cost confidential help with mental health, alcohol and other drugs, work and study, and physical and sexual health. Self-referrals are accepted, as are referrals from GPs, schools, family, friends and service providers; no GP mental health treatment plan is required. Mission Australia Country Recovery for Families Berri

This early-intervention service assists young people aged 10–25 and their families with alcohol and other drug concerns and family functioning. Parents or caregivers experiencing substance-use concerns can also seek support, and respite may be provided when required. Self-referrals and agency referrals are accepted by phone or email; the Berri contact number is (08) 8583 3203.

🛠 Targeted family assistance

ac.care Strong Families, Strong Communities

Families with children at home who have concerns about child safety can seek targeted early-intervention case management. Eligibility is assessed through a short referral access form, with self-referrals and community-service referrals accepted. Aboriginal Family Support Services – Aboriginal Gambling Help Service

Aboriginal people and families affected by gambling harm can access education, awareness activities and casework support in Berri. For general AFSS enquiries, phone (08) 8205 1500.
